Kus on kodu / Where I live here

Meie uus kodu asub Alexandrias Zizinia piirkonnas. Samuti on selles hoones suur hulk kalleid kortereid.

Our new home is located in area called "Zizinia". For most of alexandrians you can also say a landmark "San Stefano Mall", that near this. This big mall also has a fancy Four Seasons Hotel on it's seaside side and from the back side you can eter the mall. This building has also a gym, many businesses, a bank and entrance to the parking area. Also a cinema. And many expensive apartments.
5-minute walk from our home.

Maru has lived in this same area all his life that he has spent in Egypt. We now live in a rental apartment, because we are not su sure yet, what we will do in our future life and where we stay living for long time. So we didn't find it reasonable to purchase an apartment for real. Our home is the next building from Maru's previous home. I was cheering when I knew that he found an apartment here because from my previous visits to Alexandria I was already used to this area and find this area also "foreigner friendly". Not all areas in Alex are like this.

Here is a tradition that a newlyweds will move to live in a home made possibly ready for the time they start their life together. Not like in Estonia that most of the couples of families move in to an empty apartment having a mattress instead of bed in bedroom for years and walls and floors are never finished at all :). Here the home will be much more ready. And as Maru was telling me that usually the parents of a groom will take care of buying an apartment and the parents of a pride will take care of buying furniture and stuff like this. Here parents really start to plan and save for their children in early age to provide the necessary things for them in future. In Estonia often there is not much help from parents, only if they have possibility to help, sure they will. But nothing expected from parents most time. Sure here these things are not always so strict but it is a long tradition and so many prides and grooms and their families are expecting things to be. Costs can be divided differently than this too.

Our life together started differently. Maru and his mother made all the apartment ready for us. A huge amount of work, painting walls and buying also some new furniture and also details like kitchen equipment. When I first stepped in to my new home I was literally shocked in a good way. Even tissues and every detail was ready and made so nice that I don't have any complaints. It all matces my taste very well. I am speechless how grateful I am to them to start my life here like this. Luckily some furniture was already in this apartment too, needed only maybe cleaning and repairing.

So when I arrived, I stepped in to a ready home. Just come and live. So welcoming feeling. And I felt home immediately. And sure I brought even first quests with me.

For those who are far and haven't visited me, I provide some pictures here :)
Traffic in Alex is crowded and city big. So I am lucky having most necessary places available near home.

Nearest small foodstore: 1 minute walk
Nearest fruit offer: 1 minute walk, basically just around the corner here
Nearest big shopping mall: 5-7 minute walk
I will see the sea: about after a 5 minute walk
The beach where to get tanned and to swim (chairs and towels provided too): about 10 minutes to walk

Nearest juice-bar on street: 7 minutes
The gym: 7 minutes
A pharmacy: 2-3 minutes
The beautysalon: 2-3 minutes
Seaside street promenade with many cafes: 7 minutes walk away

Only the green parks are more far and some other big shopping malls. If there is a wish to go there, the length of a ride there depends so much of the traffic on this certain time.

I don't have a balcony and a stunning view from my home window, because we live on the first floor and buildings around it are high and streets narrow. But I don't complain about the gummy-tree view too. Sometimes we sneak out from window to see what is currently happening there or how the street-cats are doing :)
